30 Days / 30 Workouts

We are getting ready for the 30 days / 30 workouts challenge.  This is the time of year that we are all busy, really busy.  Sometimes too busy to make it to the gym (gasp!)

But at Active Souls, we have spent the last few years trying to change that with a huge incentive – a sticker!

We started the 30 days / 30 workouts challenge to give our members a reason to come to the gym during the holiday season.  We thought that giving people an incentive to exercise or use our spa between Thanksgiving and Christmas would be a good way to get a jump start on those New Year’s resolutions.

The challenge is pretty simple.  In order for a member to participate she needs to write her name on one of the poster boards hanging on the wall in the fitness area.  The poster boards are designed with 30 boxes next to your name. Every time you come to Active Souls to workout, we will give you a raffle ticket and you put a sticker on the board next to your name.  Everyone gets a “pass” on Thanksgiving Day in the form of a Pilgrim sticker. 

We pick raffle prizes weekly and anyone who makes it to Active Souls all 30 days gets their name in a special raffle drawing for a month’s free membership. 

Pretty awesome right? 

That’s what we thought. 

But then we asked, how can we make the sticker challenge “stick?” 

How do we make working out a daily habit? 

What if the time before the New Year, in addition to working out your body, was spent making the end of 2015 the catapult needed to make 2016 your BEST YEAR EVER?
